Welcome Center College Counselor Tour Request

Thank you for your interest in joining a Welcome Center campus visit! The Welcome Center is part of the Office of Admissions, which provides visit offerings for domestic undergraduate students.

This form is to be used by high school counselors and/or independent college counselors/independent educational consultants who are interested in visiting Oregon State University. For counselors, we generally recommend that you attend one of our 90-minute general campus tours and one of our 30-minute admissions information presentations. These two visit experiences will give you a comprehensive overview of the admissions process and everything that OSU has to offer students.

If you have special requests beyond those visit experiences, you may request them below. We cannot guarantee availability for any special requests, but we will do our best! After submitting this form, you'll receive a confirmation email and then our staff will follow up with you within 3-5 business days regarding your visit request.

NOTE: If you are looking to request a tour for a group of visiting high school or community college students, please go to our group visits website and register for a visit there.

Please note the Welcome Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for visits and is closed on university holidays, large visit program days and during our fall staff training.

Campus tour info/times:

Campus tours are provided by the student TOUR Ambassadors for the Welcome Center. Tours are typically 90 minutes long, leaving from the Welcome Center located in the southwest corner of Reser Stadium, and they generally end at the Memorial Union in the center of campus.

The general campus tour route covers the core part of campus. TOUR Ambassadors are thoroughly trained to provide tours that cover information about: all the undergraduate majors/colleges at OSU, numerous student support services and resources, cultural centers, athletics, and more. Ambassadors will also share personal stories about their experiences as OSU students. Tours go into a residence hall to see a room, and they also walk through the campus recreation center, student union and other notable buildings.

Admissions presentation info/times:

Admissions information presentations are given by our professional staff in the Welcome Center and are 30 minutes long. They cover detailed information regarding Oregon State University's first-year admissions process. Information includes timeline and deadlines for applications, what students will submit as part of their applications, how we evaluate applications, scholarship information, financial aid information and more.
